What does Recall do?

Recall is a focused audiobook player for the books you already own. While you listen, you can tap to highlight any moment, add a note, and find all your highlights later in one place — so you keep the parts that matter instead of forgetting most of the book by next week.

How do I import an audiobook?

Recall plays DRM-free M4B audiobook files that you already own. To add one:

Chapters embedded in the M4B are detected automatically; if a file has none, it plays as a single chapter.

Where do my audiobooks and highlights live?

Everything stays on your device. Your imported files, highlights, notes, and playback position are stored locally — nothing is uploaded. See our Privacy Policy.

What's free, and what's Premium?

Playback is always free — Recall never paywalls listening to a file you own. The free tier includes up to 3 audiobooks and 10 highlights. Recall Premium unlocks unlimited audiobooks and unlimited highlights & notes.

How do I subscribe?

Open the paywall (it appears when you reach a free limit, or from the upgrade prompt), choose Annual or Monthly, and confirm with your Apple ID. Annual includes a free trial.

How do I restore my subscription?

On the paywall, tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you purchased with.

How do I cancel?

iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Recall. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.

I imported a file but it won't play / shows an error

Recall plays DRM-free audio only. Files purchased from stores that wrap them in DRM (for example, encrypted store-specific formats) can't be played by any third-party player. Re-import a DRM-free M4B or MP3. A single bad file won't affect the rest of your library.

Is my data private?

Yes — no accounts, no servers, no tracking. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
